Since 1998, bison have been raised on this bison farm, and from the beginning, the focus has been on organic farming with respect for the environment and quality (rather than quantity). The welfare of the animals is paramount, and they live in a free environment (after all, it is a wild animal). The feed for the bison is grown by the owners of the bison farm themselves.
The bison can adapt to the different seasons and do not need human assistance during the birth of their young. The animals spend their entire lives in nature and remain with their own herd throughout their lives.
There are several activities at the farm. You can take a tour through the history of the American bison, where you will also visit one of the herds. The owner of the farm conducts the tour and can speak passionately about the bison. Afterwards, you can visit the bison museum, where there is much to learn about the bison itself.
Since the animals spend their entire lives in nature, the meat is low in cholesterol and rich in iron and protein. It is possible to taste the bison meat at the adjacent restaurant or to purchase the meat there.
